Our History
Where It All Began
Our farming roots go back to vegetable farmers from Windsor,CT. We moved to Harwinton, CT where Bryan is from and grew up as we wanted to raise our children the way we had grown up.
The land where Meadowview Farm currently sits today used to be barren, but through hard work and planning we cleared the land over several years and began building. Since then we've added a few buildings and fenced in areas in order to maintain hardline quality and protection. As our property butts up against 22 acres of Harwinton protected Landtrust you get the peacefulness of the great outdoors surrounded by woods and the sounds that fill them.
Farming is in the Genes
Great Grandma Eva Zurat Palifka pulling the daily tomatoes from the vegetable farm in Windsor, CT approximately 1952. Â Our family owned about 50 acres of land that was once country in the area of cottage grove road in Windsor, CT. Â Our Great Grand Father built the farmhouse that still stands to this day there, detailed with mahogany on the inside.
In the Beginning ...
My grandmother always use to say you have to start somewhere in order to get anywhere. Â So we started with clearing the land.
Woods Be Gone
Over 25 trees needed to be taken down
Needless to say it was a tedious job...
As part of our philosophy, we have a deep respect for nature’s ways, but we needed to clear space to make room. This process really started ramping up in March 2019 when we had a short amount of time to get building in order to bring the babies home.

The land over the next few months went through incredible changes. We had an extremely wet spring season which did cause quite a bit of delays and added work that needed to be done. The land was just too wet. Drains were installed in order to dry up the land in order to prepare it for smoothing out and racking.
One Stone at A Time
With the Help of Family
Meadowview Farm was built with hard working hands, endless hours & dedication from all parties involved. Â It truly was becoming a labor of love.
Hard Work
Each post to our fencing was hand dug out by Bryan who worked endlessly over a span of several weeks in order to get the posting done. Â Our fencing is so important to the safety and protection of our livestock from natures natural predators and outside elements that could unknowingly to the herd harm them. Â So it was crucial to get this done and get it done right.
